This weekend will start on friday afternoon with a light meal and some beer tasting. We will spend some time talking about the concept of Kveik, the history and some ideas on brewing. We will guide you through a series of beers brewed on different Kveiks, to give you an idea of the diversity of the magic yeast.

Saturday is brewing day, starting early like all kveik brewers did, and will end up with a nice dinner with matching beers. Participants will get a hands-on brewing experience, and you can expect to be given different tasks during the day.

For those staying in the area, we can meet up again on sunday to check-in on yesterdays brew to see what the kveik has done so far and summarize the weekend.

This will be a very inspiring weekend for anyone interested in the magic Norwegian farmhouse yeast.

Pick up at Ålesund Airport Vigra (AES) on friday at 1700 / 5 pm.

Transport to accomodation site in Sykkylven, supper, kveik theory and beer tasting

Saturday: Breakfast, pickup and transport, brewing day, lunch, more brewing. Transport back to cabins for refreshing, transport to restaurant for dinner. Transport back to cabin after dinner.

Sunday: Breakfast, sightseeing, if possible, lunch will be an outdoor picnic. Followup on the brewing, Q&A, sale of kveik strains. Transport back to Ålesund Airport Vigra for outbound flights.


Option: “Oppskøk” on tuesday or wednesday evening for those that choose to stay in the region after the weekend is over. Please contact us to agree on the options for a prolonged stay.
